1 in the issues that we adore so significantly about weddings is the fact that each and every single 1 is so various, so distinctive. All of those individual touches truly make the wedding globe go 'round and this Nashville wedding will be the ideal example of that. Golriz and Devon make up the insanely cute, quirky couple behind the day and they produced such a oneofakind event filled towards the tippity leading with creativity. Ryan Lash was there to capture soo numerous fantastic snippets. The art installations alone have us squeeling with glee. Make sure to take a look at the gallery for much more from this DIY couple.

Devon and I wanted each and every ounce of our wedding to burst with creativity, but we had a really tight spending budget. This was really a blessing as it forced us to become truly creative and believe outside the box. It also meant we had enjoyable adventures to pursue together like hunting for the 'perfect' couch on Craigslist!

1 in the greatest priorities for us was creating the event space really feel truly cozy and intimate. We accomplished this by setting up a cozy nook within the corner having a colorful and intricate backdrop. We hung paper strips towards the ceiling to make a stunning paper chandelier, with twinkly lights that peeked out in between the strips. Behind us we hung strands of handmade fabric flowers that myself, a great friend and my mom had spent weeks making out of an assortment of vintage fabrics.

Art Installation: Devon had usually dreamed of making an art installation with vintage televisions, bridal gowns, umbrellas and bare light bulbs…so this was his opportunity! We hunted high and low for TVs that had large knobs and dials the sales staff in the thrift shops should have believed we had been mad! Devon figured out a method to connect all of the bulbs to 1 switch as well as installed a dimmer (yes, I've clearly married MacGyver).

Other DIY projects: For our wedding favors we printed CDs with songs that we had written & recorded and placed them in hand sewn fabric sleeves made out of assorted vintage fabric. We then hung the CDs off ribbon with miniature clothespins so guests could pick 1 up as they left.

Photo booth within the corner in the room we set up a photo booth. This element was a hit with our guests and we have hundreds of photos that captured the enjoyable they had. Inside the booth I had placed a box of assorted props, hats, wigs etc. and a chalkboard so that guests could write personalized messages for us.

Distinctive guest 'book' in lieu of a guest book we had a huge stretched canvas on an easel. We picked a really specific palette of colors and had each guest paint a heart in 1 in the grids. Now we have a stunning piece of art to take with us as we start our lives together!

Cake toppers my mom handstitched adorable little fabric birds with wire feet my bird even had a little bouquet and Devon's had a yellow bowtie! They made great props for our photographs.

Cupcake stand instead of purchasing/renting a stand for our 150 cupcakes we built 1 (using Cetaphil containers and cake boards!)
